Lindsey E. Hardegree (she/her/hers) is the Executive Director of the Episcopal Community Foundation for Middle and North Georgia. She is responsible for leadership and management of the organization, including developing and implementing annual and planned giving campaigns, board and volunteer management, grant administration, overseeing communications, and day-to day-operations. Previously, Lindsey served as the first Development Director for the Atlanta BeltLine Partnership and as Special Events & Board Manager for the Alliance Theatre.
Lindsey is also a professional organizer and productivity consultant trained and certified by Marie Kondo as Georgia’s first Certified KonMari Consultant as well as one of the first YNAB Certified Budgeting Coaches trained to coach people on using the transformative You Need A Budget method and software. At Get Organized Y'all™, Lindsey works with individuals, families, and companies to create their ideal life by organizing their spaces, systems, and finances.
Lindsey is committed to growing a strong nonprofit sector; she currently volunteers with the Junior League of Atlanta and LEAD Atlanta, is a co-founder of the Atlanta branch of Bourbon Women Association, and is a member of the Association of Fundraising Professionals – Greater Atlanta Chapter where she served on the Board of Directors from 2017-2020. Lindsey is very active at her church, the Cathedral of St. Philip (Cathedral Chapter/Vestry Class of 2017) as well as in the Episcopal Diocese of Atlanta where she was elected as a lay deputy to the 80th General Convention (2022) of The Episcopal Church.
She was the Founding Board Chair for the Young Nonprofit Professionals Network (YNPN) Atlanta and served as Co-Chair for the 2017 YNPN National Conference. Lindsey has also served on the boards of the 1873 Society Club of the Atlanta Humane Society, C4 Atlanta, and the Young Professional Leaders Advisory Board for the United Way of Greater Atlanta. She has received several honors and awards, including Atlanta Women’s Foundation Inspire Atlanta (2021), Leadership Buckhead (2017), Atlanta Business Chronicle’s inaugural 30 Under 30 (2015), United Way VIP Board Training Program (Spring 2015), LEAD Atlanta (2015), New Leaders Council (2014 Fellow, Atlanta), Association of Fundraising Professionals of Greater Atlanta Diversity Fellows (2013), and the Georgia Center for Nonprofits/YNPN Atlanta inaugural Nonprofit Leaders 30 Under 30 (2013).
Lindsey is currently pursuing her Doctor of Ministry (Church Leadership and Community Witness) at Emory University’s Candler School of Theology (anticipated graduation May 2024). She earned her BA in both English and theatre from Wake Forest University, her MFA in performing arts management from the University of North Carolina School of the Arts, a Certificate in Theology and the Arts from Fuller Theological Seminary, and her Master of Theological Studies & MDiv Equivalent at Nashotah House Theological Seminary.
Personally, Lindsey enjoys reading voraciously, being a bit geeky (including Star Wars, Harry Potter, and The Sims), baking and cooking, drinking a good cup of coffee, and experiencing the arts and culture community in Atlanta.
