May Tanferri aka A Designer Nerd
Hey! I’m May Tanferri, aka A Designer Nerd, brazilian, Art Director, passionate about Editorial Design and Storytelling, hopelessly Nerdy & Author of Empatia - project that consists of a short documentary and a children's book selected and awarded by The Brazilian Graphic Design Biennial.
With 7 years of experience in Editorial Design, I have worked for Editora Abril, for Editora Globo as the Creative Director of GALILEU Magazine, and other publications such as OBOX Magazine of Omelete Company and Exibidor Magazine focused on cinematographic market. In 2020 I launched the course "Adobe InDesign: Editorial Design from Zero" with Crehana - online training platform for the creative professionals.
When I'm not designing magazines, creating visual narratives or talking about Empathy, I show my passion for nerd culture in digital and analogic embroidery on Studio Geek Stitch - pieces made by nerds for nerds with drops of Art History and Pop Culture!
